Education is vital to our society and so is proper nutrition. With the Johnson County FFA Scrambling Hunger Initiative, students are educated on how to produce his/her own food on small amounts of land as well as helping provide nutrition to Johnson County families. While other food drives are active in our area, ours is unique in providing a hands on learning environment for the future of our community. We believe in the saying, “Give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, feed him for a life time”.

Johnson County FFA has recived funds to build two small chicken houses to raise 15-20 laying hens. These hens will produce approximately 20 eggs daily that will be distributed to families of need within Johnson County.
